I'll admit, this is not a truly unique idea as there already exists a blog entitled "ShitMyKidRuined". It did serve as the inspiration for this blog and I was prompted to begin after a failed attempt to see Alice in Wonderland. 100 pre-teens and only front row seats for 90 minutes of 3D entertainment was not my idea of a fun night. Of course, Auggi, my 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd Dog displayed his displeasure by destroying a $40 bottle of slate tile sealant just purchased to complete a slate tile back splash that is in progress in the kitchen.
This is Auggi. The picture was taken at the height of his adorableness. He is still cute, but much larger. He ruins something every time he is left home alone. In fact, he devoured my "surprise" birthday cake and left nothing but a cleaned plate and some of the candles. He is an asshole. But I love him.
My mom's dog destroyed and consumed a bunch of stuff each time he was alone too... Now we have him go in his house - an oversized crate - and he happily does so. Voila! - no more wrecked stuff.. Finally I can leave the Cherry Pie on the counter without fear.
